Austria wins team event in Zakopane

In Zakopane, Poland, the second team jumping in the World Cup 2020 / 2021 took place. The Austrian team managed to prevent a Polish home victory and flew to the first place. Nevertheless, the Polish team confirmed their incredibly strong team performance and secured the second rank. Third place went to the ski jumpers from Norway, led by the overall World Cup leader Halvor Egner Granerud. The German quartet had big problems and could hardly demonstrate a good jump and thus ended up in sixth place. After the first round it looked at first like a Polish victory and the fact that the strong Poles Piotr Zyla, Kamil Stoch, Andrzej Stekala and Dawid Kubacki can use their home advantage. However, in the second round Stekala made a mistake and opened the door to success for the Austrian jumpers.
