So after the sprint the Norwegian now also wins the 10 km pursuit race and the double in Nove Mesto. Second went surprisingly to Dzinara Alimbekava from Belarus ahead of Franziska Preuss, who left Marte Olsbu Røiseland behind in the final sprint. With her fourth place Marte Olsbu Røiseland can’t catch up her team mate in the fight for the overall World Cup, the lead over her competitors is too big. In today’s pursuit race Eckhoff showed all her skills. She was calm in person at the shooting range, despite a mistake in the second shooting. Nevertheless, she drew her laps lonely in the front and continuously extended her lead. At the moment she dominates the World Cup at will and celebrated the 12th World Cup victory this season and the overall World Cup victory. Pleasing from the German point of view was the third place of Franziska Preuss, who showed a good shooting and was also fast on the track. The sprint runner-up Denise Herrmann had to be satisfied with tenth place after three penalty loops. If Justine Braisaz would get a little bit better acquainted with the shooting range, she would get beyond eleventh place, but great was again her skiing time. As already in the sprint race the young Norwegian Ida Lien impressed with her twelfth rank. Julia Simon still managed to jump into the top20 with a gap of 2.08,1 minutes.

Tiril Eckhoff triumphiert und gewinnt Gesamtweltcup
Tiril Eckhoff: The one and only – oder sollte man sagen – The only one – denn sie läuft weiterhin ihrer eigenen Liga. So gewinnt die Norwegerin nach dem Sprint nun auch das 10 km Verfolgungsrennen und das Double von Nove Mesto. Zweit wurde überraschend Dzinara Alimbekava aus Belarus vor Franziska Preuss, die im Zielsprint Marte Olsbu Røiseland das Nachsehen lies. Mit ihrem vierten Rang kann Marte Olsbu Røiseland ihre Teamkollegin im Kampf um den Gesamtweltcup nicht mehr einholen, zu groß ist der Vorsprung vor ihrer Konkurrenz. Beim heutigen Verfolgungsrennen zeigte Eckhoff ihr ganzes Können. So war sie am Schießstand die Ruhe in Person, trotz eines Fehlers beim zweiten Schießen. Dennoch zog sie vorne einsam ihre Runden und baute kontinuierlich ihren Vorsprung aus. Im Moment beherrscht sie den Weltcup nach Belieben und feierte den 12. Weltcupsieg dieser Saison und den Gesamtweltcup-Sieg. Erfreulich aus deutscher Sicht war der dritte Platz von Franziska Preuss, die ein gutes Schießen zeigte und auch auf der Loipe schnell unterwegs war. Die Sprint-Zweite Denise Herrmann musste sich nach drei Strafrunden mit Platz zehn zufrieden geben. Würde sich Justine Braisaz etwas besser mit dem Schießstand anfreunden, käme sie über Platz elf hinaus, großartig war aber erneut ihre Laufzeit. Wie bereits schon im Sprintrennen wusste die junge Norwegerin Ida Lien mit ihrem zwölften Rang zu gefallen. Julia Simon gelang mit einem Rückstand von 2.08,1 Minuten noch der Sprung in die Top20.

Es war heute nicht einfach und es sah leichter aus als es war. Ich freue mich das alles so gut funktioniert hatte. Ich versuche immer alles zu geben, und das klappt momentan wunderbar.
