Lisa-Theresa Hauser jubilates over sprint victory in Östersund

Lisa Theresa Hauser once again created a jubilant atmosphere at the 7.5 km sprint race in Östersund ( SWE ). With a flawless shooting performance and an impressive performance on the cross-country track the Tyrolean delivered a perfect race and was able to celebrate the third World Cup victory of her career, the first in a sprint race. The 27-year-old thus confirmed her consistent form and made it onto the podium for the second time in the third race of the season. In addition, Lisa Hauser not only secured a great starting position for the pursuit race, but also took the lead in the overall World Cup with her victory. 12.5 seconds behind Lisa Hauser, Elvira Oeberg finished second. The Swede made it to the podium despite two penalty laps thanks to an extremely strong performance in the track.

Third place went to Hanna Sola from Beal, 14.4 seconds behind with one shooting mistake. The best German was once again Franziska Preuss in 5th place, but the big surprise was Vanessa Voigt, who already made the Olympic qualification in the second of three races in Östersund. The real favorites had absolutely nothing to do with the outcome of the race. Marte Olsbu Roiseland finished 12th, Dorothea Wierer 16th, Justine Braisaz 17th. Disappointing was again the performance of Tiril Eckhoff who finished 32nd with a gap of 1.21,8 minutes.
