The men started with the 10 kilometer sprint race. The invincible Norwegian, Johannes Thingnes Boe, started the race with bib number two.
Already early on he made clear that there would be no way to pass him on this day. With clear shooting and the fastest time he won clearly ahead of his brother Tarjei Boe. He also managed to shoot two clear rounds. Tarjei was again clearly ahead of third-placed Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen.
The women's sprint race of 7.5km showed a similar picture, at least Norway was on top again in the end. Marte Olsbu Roeiseland won in the end more than deserved. Basis for the success were 100% hits at the shooting range and a good running performance. Marte was 20 seconds ahead of her compatriot Landmark Ingrid Tandrevold, the young Norwegian made a mistake at the shooting range. Third went to Anais Chevalier Bouchet from France on sprint day.
Saturday was the day of the pursuit races. Here the Boe brothers were able to manage their lead and ended up on top of the podium again. Johannes Thingnes Boe missed two targets, his brother Tarjei only one. Third went to the Swede Martin Ponsiluoma with a total of five misses. Ponsiluoma was able to climb up the podium from sixth place.
Marte Olsbu Roeiseland also managed to repeat her success from the previous day after a thrilling sprint to the finish. Roeiseland relegated her teammate Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold to second place. Third place again went to Anais Chevalier - Bouchet. There was more movement in the places behind. Here Julia Simon from France made it to the strong fourth place. She had started the race as the ninth woman. Lisa Vittozzi was fifth, ahead of Denise Hermann Wick.
Finally, the teams competed in the Mixed Relay & the Single Mixed Relay. In the Mixed Relay, the French team succeeded best in the interplay of precision and speed. Lou Jeanmonnot, Caroline Colombo, Eric Perrot and last runner Fabien Claude won with a lead of 30 seconds. The Swedish team came in second, just ahead of the Norwegians, who were beaten for the first time.
The Single Mixed Relay was again dominated by the Norwegian team with Marte Olsbu Roeiseland and Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen. The podium was complimented by two surprises. Second place went to the Swiss Amy Baserga and Niklas Hartweg. Third place went to Baiba Bendig and Andrejs Rastogujevs from Latvia.
Now the biathlon team is heading to the next World Cup venue, Östersund.
