Hurricane-like wind and strong gusts caused that both mass start races at the biathlon season final in \u00d6stersund (SWE) had to be postponed. For a short time, even a cancellation of the races was considered. But after an agreement with the world federation IBU and the weather service of J\u00e4mtland, both races could be moved to the afternoon and late afternoon, respectively, and thus could still be held as scheduled. The wind conditions again made for a crazy final, as in the pursuit race the winds were changeable and made the shooting events a lottery. The three first-placed athletes missed a total of 17 targets, so that these conditions alone led to repeated changes of position. The outcome of the race was uncertain until the very end. In the end Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold from Norway had the lead and finished first with five misses. With her first victory ever, the Norwegian also directly secured the overall ranking in the mass start. Dzinara Alimbekava from Belarus and Franziska Preuss from DSV finished second and third. Uljana Kaisheva finished fifth, 20.1 seconds behind the winner. Tiril Eckhoff finished seventh in the last women’s race of the season. Janina Hettich from Germany finished in ninth place and also Emilie Kalkenberg (NOR) had a very good season. The big loser of the day was Julia Simon from France, who should have won the overall victory in the mass start, but unfortunately Simon made 15 mistakes and finished last in the race.<\/p>\n

This was a great end of the season for me, and especially for our team. To win here once and then to stand on the podium again is just fantastic. But now I am already looking forward to some rest and a few calmer days.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tandrevold holt den Sieg im Massenstart von \u00d6stersund<\/h6>\n

Orkanartiger Wind und starke B\u00f6en sorgten daf\u00fcr, dass beide Massenstart Rennen beim Biathlon-Saisonfinale in \u00d6stersund (SWE) verlegt werden mussten. Kurzzeitig wurde sogar \u00fcber eine Absage der Rennen nachgedacht. Doch nach Einigung mit dem Weltverband IBU und dem Wetterdienst J\u00e4mtlands konnten beide Rennen zeitlich auf den Nachmittag bzw. Sp\u00e4tnachmittag verlegt und somit noch planm\u00e4\u00dfig durchgef\u00fchrt werden. Die Windverh\u00e4ltnisse sorgten erneut f\u00fcr ein verr\u00fccktes Finale, wie schon im Verfolgungsrennen waren die Winde wechselhaft und machten die Schie\u00dfeinlagen zu einer Lotterie. Die drei Erstplatzierten mussten insgesamt 17 mal in die Strafrunde, sodass es allein durch diese Gegebenheiten immer wieder zu Positionswechseln kam. Bis zum Schluss war der Ausgang des Rennens ungewiss. Letztendlich hatte Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold aus Norwegen zum Schluss die Nase vorn und kam mit f\u00fcnf Schie\u00dffehler als erste ins Ziel. Mit ihrem ersten Sieg \u00fcberhaupt sichere sich die Norwegerin auch direkt die Gesamtwertung im Massenstart. Auf den Pl\u00e4tzen zwei und drei kamen Dzinara Alimbekava aus Belarus und Franziska Preuss vom DSV ins Ziel. Uljana Kaisheva kam mit 20,1 Sekunden R\u00fcckstand auf die Siegerin auf Platz f\u00fcnf ins Ziel. Tiril Eckhoff belegte auf Platz sieben das letzte Damenrennen der Saison. F\u00fcr Janina Hettich gab es auf Platz neun einen ebenfalls erfreulichen Saisonabschluss wie auch f\u00fcr Emilie Kalkenberg, die in \u00d6stersund von sich zu \u00fcberzeugen wusste. Die gro\u00dfe Verliererin des Tages war Julia Simon aus Frankreich, der eigentlich der Gesamtsieg in der Massenstart-Wertung nicht zu nehmen war, doch Simon schoss sage und schreibe 15 Fehler und belegte abgeschlagen den letzten Platz des Rennens.<\/p>\n

Das war ein super Saisonabschluss f\u00fcr mich, und speziell f\u00fcr unser Team. Hier einmal zu gewinnen, und dann nochmals auf dem Treppchen zu stehen ist einfach nur fantastisch. Ich freue mich jetzt aber schon auf etwas Erholung und ein paar ruhigere Tage.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
