After the women today also the men completed the last 12,5 km pursuit race competition of this season in \u00d6stersund ( SWE ). In difficult wind conditions Norwegian shooting star Sturla Holm Laegreid secured victory in the end. The 24-year-old kept his nerves in a thrilling race until the end and won with two misses and 22.6 seconds ahead of his compatriot Johannes Thingnes Boe who had three misses in total. With this result Laegreid kept the decision for the overall World Cup open before tomorrow’s mass start race. This result makes the fight even more exciting.<\/p>\n

Johannes Thingnes Boe is able to defend the lead just barely, but Sturla Holm Laegreid is right on his heels after his victory in the chaser – Maximum tension before the last race of the season. Sprint winner Lukas Hofer from South Tyrol finished third, 32.4 seconds behind, to claim another podium.<\/p>\n

Vetle Christiansen ( 7th) , Simon Desthieux ( 9th) and Tarjei Boe took places in the top-10. In the DSV team the fantastic performance and fifth place of Eric Lesser of course outshone everything. Roman Rees, who started the race from tenth place, finished in 20th place and is sure to be in the mass start of the top thirty.<\/p>\n

If Johannes Thingnes Boe continues to show weakness at the shooting range in the mass start ( four times shooting), there could be a big surprise tomorrow and Sturla Laegreid could win the overall ranking in his first World Cup season. So it remains absolutely exciting until the last second.<\/p>\n

Laegreid gewinnt\u00a0 den \u00d6stersund Verfolger<\/h4>\n

Nach den Damen absolvierten heute auch die Herren in \u00d6stersund ( SWE ) das letzte 12,5 Km Verfolgungsrennen-Wettkampf dieser Saison. Bei schwierigen Windverh\u00e4ltnissen sicherte sich am Ende der norwegische Shooting-Star Sturla Holm Laegreid den Sieg. Der 24-j\u00e4hrige behielt in einem spannenden Rennen bis zum Schluss die Nerven und setzte sich am Ende mit zwei Fehlsch\u00fcssen und 22,6 Sekunden Vorsprung gegen seinen Landsmann Johannes Thingnes Boe durch, der sich insgesamt drei Strafrunden leistete. Damit hielt \u00a0Laegreid auch die Entscheidung um den Gesamtweltcup vor dem morgigen Massenstart-Rennen weiter offen. Durch dieses Resultat wird der Kampf noch spannender.<\/p>\n

Johannes Thingnes Boe kann die F\u00fchrung zwar gerade noch hauchd\u00fcnn verteidigen, doch Sturla Holm Laegreid ist ihm nach seinem Sieg im Verfolger unmittelbar auf den Fersen – Maximale Spannung vor dem letzten Rennen der Saison. Sprintsieger Lukas Hofer aus S\u00fcdtirol belegte mit einem R\u00fcckstand von 32,4 Sekunden Platz Drei und eroberte ein weiteres Podest.<\/div>\n

Im DSV Team \u00fcberstrahlte die fantastische Leistung und der f\u00fcnfte Platz von Eric Lesser nat\u00fcrlich alles. Roman Rees von Platz zehn aus ins Rennen gegangen belegte zum Schluss den 20. Rang und ist sicher im Massenstart der drei\u00dfig besten mit dabei.<\/p>\n

Sollte Johannes Thingnes Boe im Massnstart ( viermal Schie\u00dfen) weiterhin am Schie\u00dfstand Schw\u00e4che zeigen, so k\u00f6nnte es morgen eine gro\u00dfe \u00dcberraschung geben und Sturla Laegreid k\u00f6nnte in seiner ersten Welcup Saison die Gesamtwertung gewinnen. Es bleibt also absolut spannend bis zur letzten Sekunde.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ich habe mich heute sehr sicher gef\u00fchlt und meine Chance wahrgenommen das Optimale rauszuholen. So konnte ich den Vorsprung von Johannes weiter verk\u00fcrzen. Ich werde weiterhin auf mich schauen, morgen wieder das Beste geben und dann werden wir sehen, was am Ende rauskommen wird.\u201c<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
