The second World Cup victory of his career celebrated the South Tyrolean Lukas Hofer at the 10 km sprint in \u00d6stersund and confirms his top form at the end of the season.\u00a0As in the last races before, Hofer proved his strength and didn’t give the rest of the competition a chance.\u00a0Absolutely concentrated was his series at the shooting range and just as fast he was on the skis. Hofer delivered a flawless performance and won highly deserved ahead of Sebastian Samuelsson from Sweden with a gap of 4.0 seconds in second place and Tarjei Boe who was the best Norwegian and finished third with a gap of 14.4 seconds.\u00a0The early decision in the fight for the overall World Cup had to be postponed again. Johannes Thingnes Boe is still the overall leader in the ranking.\u00a0He finished the race one place behind his great competitor and teammate Sturla Holm Laegried in seventh place, who could not make up enough points to pass him.\u00a0Simon Desthieux in fourth and Quentin Fillon Maillet in fifth, both lie in wait for a good result in the chaser.\u00a0Also running in the top-10 ranks were Johannes Dale (8th, NOR) and Vladimir Iliev (9th, BUL).\u00a0Vetle Christiansen (NOR) in twelfth, Alexander Andersen (16th, NOR) and Jakub Stvrtecky (19th, CZE) all reached places in the top 20. Best German was surprisingly Roman Rees who managed an excellent tenth place, Benedikt Doll finished disappointingly 31st, two places ahead of Erik Lesser.<\/p>\n

Sprintsieg f\u00fcr Lukas Hofer in \u00d6stersund<\/h6>\n
Den zweiten Weltcupsieg seiner Karriere feierte der S\u00fcdtiroler Lukas Hofer beim 10 km Sprint in \u00d6stersund und best\u00e4tigt seine Topform zum Ende der Saison.\u00a0Wie schon in den letzten Rennen zuvor beweist Hofer seine St\u00e4rke l\u00e4sst der \u00fcbrigen Konkurrenz keine Chance.\u00a0Absolut konzentriert war seine Serie am Schie\u00dfstand und ebenso schnell war er auf den Ski unterwegs. Hofer lieferte eine einwandfreie Performance ab und siegte hochverdient vor Sebastian Samuelsson aus Schweden mit einem R\u00fcckstand von 4,0 Sekunden auf Platz zwei und Tarjei Boe, der als bester Norweger mit einem R\u00fcckstand von 14,4 Sekunden als Dritter ins Ziel kam.\u00a0Die vorzeitige Entscheidung im Kampf um den Gesamtweltcup musste erneut vertagt werden. Johannes Thingnes Boe ist weiterhin der Gesamtf\u00fchrender in der Wertung.\u00a0Er beendete das Rennen einen Platz hinter seinem gro\u00dfen Konkurrenten und Teamkollegen Sturla Holm Laegried als Siebter, der damit nicht gen\u00fcgend Punkte gut machen konnte, um an ihm vorbeizuziehen.\u00a0Simon Desthieux auf Platz vier und Quentin Fillon Maillet als f\u00fcnfter, liegen beiden in Lauerstellung auf ein gutes Ergebnis im Verfolger.\u00a0In die Top-10 R\u00e4nge liefen au\u00dferdem Johannes Dale (8., NOR) und Vladimir Iliev (9., BUL).\u00a0Vetle Christiansen (NOR) als zw\u00f6lfter, Alexander Andersen (16., NOR) und Jakub Stvrtecky (19., CZE) erreichten allesamt Pl\u00e4tze in den Top 20.\u00a0Bester Deutscher war \u00fcberraschend Roman Rees, dem ein ausgezeichneter zehnter Platz gelang, Benedikt Doll kam entt\u00e4uschend als 31. ins Ziel, zwei Platze vor Erik Lesser.<\/div>\n

Der dritte Platz ist f\u00fcr mich eine super Ausgangsposition f\u00fcr den Verfolger. Mal sehen was passiert, aber ich bin sehr zufrieden.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mit meiner l\u00e4uferischen Leistung bin ich sehr zufrieden – nicht mit meinen beiden Fehlern. Es gibt aber noch zwei weitere Chancen f\u00fcr mich.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
