After the victory in the sprint Quentin Fillon Malilet is directly on top again and decides also the 12,5 km pursuit race in Nove Mesto for himself.\u00a0It was a spectacular race, which was once again decided in the last shooting. In one group no less than six athletes came to the decisive last shooting, where again Quentin Fillon Maillet could prevail and celebrate his third season’s victory.\u00a0On the final lap Johannes Thingnes Boe once again showed his extra class and his skills in the track. After his disappointing performance in the sprint race he didn’t give Emilien Jacquelin a chance in the fight for second place. Sturla Holm Laegreid and Lukas Hofer narrowly missed the podium places with fourth and fifth place.\u00a0Tarje Boe finished the race in sixth place, the Slovenian Jakov Fak, who delivered another good performance, finished eighth, ahead of Johannes Dale in ninth place. Norwegian Vetle Christiansen, who started the race from 20th place, confirmed his rising form and finished eleventh ahead of Frenchman Simon Desthieux.\u00a0There was unfortunately no success for the DSV quartet, Erik Lesser was the best German and finished 14th.\u00a0For Benedikt Doll (24th), Arnd Peiffer (27th) and Roman Rees (31st) these were not the placings which were expected from the German athletes.<\/p>\n

I knew that today the victory will be decided only by the shooting.\u00a0When six of us came to the shooting range at the last shooting, I already had my strategy in mind and wanted to get through safely and without mistakes.\u00a0I had left myself some time, but I was able to take a lead with me on the final lap and fortunately defended it all the way to the finish.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I am satisfied with my race today, I wanted to attack earlier. Unfortunately I had to fight back again and again because of my shooting mistakes and I am glad that I could leave Emilien Jacquelin behind me in the fight for second place.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Doppelsieg f\u00fcr Quentin Fillon Maillet in Nove Mesto<\/h6>\n

Nach dem Sieg im Sprint steht Quentin Fillon Malilet direkt wieder ganz oben und entscheidet auch das 12,5 km Verfolgungsrennen von Nove Mesto f\u00fcr sich.\u00a0Es war ein spektakul\u00e4res Rennen, das im letzten Schie\u00dfen wieder einmal entschieden wurde. In einer Gruppe kamen gleich sechs Athleten zum entscheidenden letzten Schie\u00dfen, wo sich erneut Quentin Fillon Maillet durchsetzen und seinen dritten Saisonsieg feiern konnte.\u00a0Auf der Schlussrunde zeigte Johannes Thingnes Boe wieder einmal seine Extraklasse und sein K\u00f6nnen in der Loipe. Nach seinem entt\u00e4uschenden Abschneiden im Sprint lie\u00df er beim Verfolger Emilien Jacquelin keine Chance im Kampf um den zweiten Platz. Sturla Holm Laegreid und Lukas Hofer verpassten mit den Pl\u00e4tzen vier und f\u00fcnf knapp die Pl\u00e4tze auf dem Podest.\u00a0Tarje Boe beendete das Rennen auf Rang sechs, der Slowene Jakov Fak, der wieder eine gute Vorstellung ablieferte, kam als achter ins Ziel, vor Johannes Dale auf Rang neun. Der Norweger Vetle Christiansen, von Platz 20 aus ins Rennen gegangen, best\u00e4tigte seine aufsteigende Form und wurde vor dem Franzosen Simon Desthieux elfter.\u00a0Nichts zu holen gab es f\u00fcr das DSV-Quartett, Erik Lesser schloss als bester Deutscher auf Platz 14 das Rennen ab.\u00a0F\u00fcr Benedikt Doll (24.), Arnd Peiffer (27.) und Roman Rees (31.) waren es nicht die Platzierungen, die man von den deutschen Athleten erwartet hatte.<\/p>\n

Ich wusste das heute der Sieg nur \u00fcber das Schie\u00dfen entschieden wird.\u00a0Als wir am letzten Schie\u00dfen dann zu sechst an den Schie\u00dfstand kamen, hatte ich bereits meine Strategie im Kopf und wollte sicher und fehlerfrei durchkommen.\u00a0Ich hatte mir etwas Zeit gelassen, konnte mir aber einen Vorsprung mit auf die Schlussrunde nehmen und diesen zum Gl\u00fcck bis in Ziel verteidigen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
