The Norwegian started the race from first place and she didn’t give up this position during the whole race. With a faultless shooting performance in both prone events Eckhoff was able to gain a sufficient lead over her competitors. Despite a total of three faults in the standing shooting, she was uncatchable ahead of the other athletes and secured her next victory in a supreme manner. It was also a successful day for the German team as Denise Herrmann finished second thanks to a strong shooting performance and only one mistake overall. Third went to Marte Olsbu Røiseland from Norway, who was still promisingly ahead of the German after the third shooting, but missed one target, from which Herrmann could benefit. The biggest step forward was made by Sweden’s Linn Persson. She started in 21st place and was also able to secure fourth place with only one miss. Fifth went to Franziska Preuss, who unfortunately lost a better ranking in the last shooting. Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold from Norway finished 12th, the two Frenchwomen Julia Simon and Justine Braisaz-Bouchet were still able to finish in the top20 with ranks 19 and 20.

Results 10km pursuit race women, Nove Mesto:

1

ECKHOFF Tiril

0+0+1+2

27:28.0

2

HERRMANN Denise

1+0+0+0

+24.0

3

ROEISELAND Marte Olsbu

0+1+1+1

+29.9

1

ECKHOFF Tiril

0+0+1+2

27:28.0

2

HERRMANN Denise

1+0+0+0

+24.0

3

ROEISELAND Marte Olsbu

0+1+1+1

+29.9

Foto: Soelzer via VOIGT Fotografie

Tiril Eckhoff started into the pursuit race in Czech Nove Mesto with the best starting position.
