After the women, Norway also won gold in the men’s 4 x 7.5 km relay. From the start they took the lead in the field of 27 nations and didn’t give up the lead until the finish. Against these strong Norwegians no one could oppose anything and so shooting star Sturla Holm Laegreid (his 3rd world championship gold) Tarjei Boe, Johannes Thingnes Boe and last runner Vetle Christiansen, who surprisingly was preferred to Johannes Dale, took back the title from France. Norway deservedly won the gold medal with an advantage of 33.1 seconds ahead of Sweden, which once again delivered a good performance and secured silver.<\/p>\n

Alexander Loginov with his teammate from RBU ( Russian Biathlon Union ) also highly deserved with bronze, the first medal of this world championship. For defending champion France, despite a strong final lap by Emilien Jacquelin, it was only enough for the ungrateful fourth place. Germany’s men disappointed again and reached seventh place.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the World Championships I was a bit depressed that I didn’t get a mission in all the events, but that’s just the way things are. When I found out that I was going to be the final runner in the relay, I was full of joy – and now I am the world champion. What could be better?<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Shortly before the men’s relay, the women fought for the world championship title. The biggest favorites were defending champion Norway, France, Germany and Sweden. In the end, the Norwegians lived up to their role as favorites and were unbeatable. Ingrid Tandrevold changed on the second position to Tiril Eckhoff, who then made sure that Norway took over the top position and brought the world championship title from the previous year to the finish with a lead of 8.8 seconds.<\/p>\n

Running on position three, the young Ida Lien got the preference over Karoline Knotten and justified her nomination with a good performance. What a finish! While Marte Olsbu secures the World Cup title for Norway, Franziska Preuss strikes in a thrilling final sprint, surprises Olena Pidhrushna in the last meters, passes her and secures World Cup silver for the DSV quartet. Ukraine surprisingly takes bronze. For Norway it is already the fifth gold medal of these World Championships.<\/p>\n

Nach den Damen gab es auch in der 4 x 7,5 Km Herrenstaffel WM Gold f\u00fcr Norwegen. Souver\u00e4n setzten sie sich vom Start an \u00fcberlegen an die Spitze des mit 27 Nationen besetzten Feldes und gaben die \u00a0F\u00fchrung bis ins Ziel nicht mehr ab.<\/p>\n

Gegen diese starken Norweger konnte niemand etwas entgegensetzen und so holten sich Shootingstar Sturla Holm Laegreid ( sein 3. WM Gold ) Tarjei Boe, Johannes Thingnes Boe und Schlussl\u00e4ufer Vetle Christiansen, der \u00fcberraschend den Vorzug vor Johannes Dale bekam, den Titel aus dem Vorjahr von Frankreich zur\u00fcck. Die Norweger gewannen verdient mit einem Vorsprung von 33,1 Sekunden die Goldmedaille vor Schweden, das wieder einmal eine geschlossene Leistung abrief und sich Silber sicherte. F\u00fcr Titelverteidiger Frankreich reichte es trotz einer starken Schlussrunde von Emilien Jacquelin nur zum undankbaren vierten Platz.bDeutschlands Herren entt\u00e4uschten abermals und erreichten Platz sieben. Was vor allem daran lag, dass Erik Lesser als Startl\u00e4ufer mit einem Kreislaufeinbruch zu k\u00e4mpfen hatte und dadurch auf der Strecke auf Platz 20 zur\u00fcck viel. Doch die Teamkollegen k\u00e4mpften weiter und zeigten tolle Teilleistungen, was Hoffnung f\u00fcr den morgigen Massenstart macht.<\/div>\n

Ich war heute voll konzentriert am Schie\u00dfstand und wollte nichts dem Zufall \u00fcberlassen, um Tarjei einen Vorsprung auf seine Runde mitgeben zu k\u00f6nnen. In der Loipe war es sowieso wie immer ,habe mich sehr wohl gef\u00fchlt , und konnte meinen Rhythmus laufen.An meinem Geburtstag Weltmeister zu werden – ich habe mir selbst das sch\u00f6nste Geschenk bereitet und danke meinen Teamkameraden.\u201c<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Anfangs der WM war ich etwas deprimiert, dass ich nicht in allen Bewerben einen Einsatz bekommen habe, aber so sind halt die Vorgaben. Norwegens Damen nicht zu stoppen<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Kurz vor der M\u00e4nnerstaffel k\u00e4mpften die Damen um den Weltmeistertitel.
\nAls gr\u00f6\u00dfte Favoriten gingen dabei neben Titelverteidiger Norwegen, Frankreich, Deutschland und auch Schweden ins Rennen.Zum Schluss wurden die Norwegerinnen ihrer Favoritenrolle gerecht und waren nicht zu schlagen.<\/p>\n

Ingrid Tandrevold wechselte auf der zweiten Position auf Tiril Eckhoff, die dann daf\u00fcr sorgte daf\u00fcr dass Norwegen die Spitzenposition \u00fcbernahm und den Weltmeistertitel aus dem Vorjahr am Ende mit einem Vorsprung von 8,8 Sekunden ins Ziel brachte. Auf Position drei laufend bekam die junge Ida Lien den Vorzug vor Karoline Knotten,
\nund rechtfertigte Ihre Nominierung mit einer guten Leistung. Was f\u00fcr ein Finish! W\u00e4hrend Marte Olsbu Roiseland f\u00fcr Norwegen den WM-Titel sichert, schl\u00e4gt Franziska Preuss in einem packenden Schlussspurt zu, \u00fcberrascht auf den letzten Metern Olena Pidhrushna, zieht an ihr vorbei und sichert dem DSV-Quartett noch WM-Silber.
\nDie Ukraine nimmt \u00fcberraschend Bronze mit. F\u00fcr Norwegen ist es bereits die f\u00fcnfte Goldmedaille dieser Weltmeisterschaften.<\/p>\n

Ich habe mich \u00fcber meine Nominierung und das Vertrauen der Trainer sehr gefreut. Es hat gro\u00dfen Spa\u00df gemacht, obwohl ich mit meinem Stehendschie\u00dfen nicht 100 % zufrieden bin. Jetzt bin ich Weltmeisterin, mein bislang gr\u00f6\u00dfter Erfol<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Ich bin relaxed ins Rennen gegangen, und wusste was zu machen war. Leider habe ich mir im Liegendschie\u00dfen selbst Druck gemacht und musste gegen die Strafrunde k\u00e4mpfen.
