France celebrates gold in single-mixed relay<\/h4>\n

Before the race of the Single-Mixed Relay many coaches as well as experts had difficulties to predict the outcome of the competition, because there were too many strong nations, which would have been in the running for the victory and the medal places.\u00a0But in the end, the three favorites from France, Norway and Sweden successfully prevailed.\u00a0Julia Simon clenches her fist as she crosses the finish line as the winner and embraces her team mate Antonin Guigonnat – both can now celebrate the joint gold medal and the World Championship title in the single mixed relay.\u00a0For a long time the Italian team was on course for gold, but in the end Dorothea Wierer showed some nerves and gave up the medal at the last shooting. The Norwegian duo of Johannes Thingnes Boe and Tiril Eckhoff fought for the gold medal until the end, but it was not enough to successfully defend the title. In the final meters of the race Julia Simon gave her all and managed to push Tiril Eckhoff to the silver place. The podium was completed by Team Sweden with Sebastian Samuelsson and Hanna Oeberg on bronze place.\u00a0The German relay team with Erik Lesser, who had to do one penalty loop, and Franziska Preuss did not finish higher than seventh.<\/p>\n

This was not my World Cup so far, although I had actually always delivered good results. Every time it was close. But today I was very strong in the race and I knew exactly where to attack. When I was able to keep up well at the shooting range, I gave everything I had in the final straight and I am very happy about the gold medal.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It was an exciting race until the end and a thrilling fight for the gold medal. We are not dissatisfied with the silver, but we would have liked to defend our title from last year.\u00a0But there are still more chances for us to win medals here at the World Championships.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Frankreich feiert Gold in der Single-Mixed Staffel<\/h4>\n

Vor dem Rennen der Single-Mixed Staffel taten sich viele der Trainer als auch etliche Experten schwer einen Tipp \u00fcber den Ausgang des Wettbewerbes abzugeben, waren es doch zu viele starke Nationen, die f\u00fcr den Sieg und die Medaillenr\u00e4nge in Frage gekommen w\u00e4ren.\u00a0Doch zum Schluss setzten sich die drei Favoriten aus Frankreich, Norwegen und Schweden erfolgreich durch.\u00a0Julia Simon ballt die Faust als sie als Siegerin \u00fcber die Ziellinie f\u00e4hrt, und schlie\u00dft ihren Teamkollegen Antonin Guigonnat in die Arme – \u00a0beide d\u00fcrfen nun die gemeinsame Goldmedaille und den Weltmeistertitel in der Single- Mixed- Staffel feiern.\u00a0Lange war das italienische Team auf Goldkurs, am Ende zeigte Dorothea Wierer Nerven und gab beim letzten Schie\u00dfen die Medaille ab. Das norwegische Duo um Johannes Thingnes Boe und Tiril Eckhoff k\u00e4mpfte bis zum Schluss um die Goldmedaille, es hat jedoch nicht zur erfolgreichen Titelverteidigung gereicht. Auf den finalen Metern des Rennens holte Julia Simon noch einmal alles aus sich heraus, und schaffte es Tiril Eckhoff noch auf den Silberplatz zu verdr\u00e4ngen. Das Podest komplettierte Team Schweden mit Sebastian Samuelsson und Hanna Oeberg auf dem Bronze Rang.\u00a0Die deutsche Staffel mit Erik Lesser, der einmal in die Strafrunde musste, und Franziska Preuss kam am Ende \u00fcber Platz sieben nicht hinaus.<\/p>\n

Das war bislang nicht meine WM, obwohl ich eigentlich immer gute Resultate abgeliefert hatte. Jedes Mal war es eng. Aber heute war ich l\u00e4uferisch wieder einmal sehr stark, und wusste genau wo ich attackieren kann. Als ich dann am Schie\u00dfstand auch noch gut mithalten konnte, habe auf der Zielgeraden noch einmal alles aus mir rausgeholt und bin \u00fcber die Goldmedaille super gl\u00fccklich.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Es war ein spannendes Rennen bis zum Schluss und ein packender Kampf um die Goldmedaille. Wir sind mit der Silber nicht unzufrieden, h\u00e4tten jedoch sehr gerne unseren Titel aus dem Vorjahr verteidigt.\u00a0F\u00fcr uns gibt es aber ja noch weitere Chancen hier bei der WM Medaillen zu holen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
