Davidova celebrates gold<\/h4>\n

The title in the women’s 15 km individual race in Pokljuka could actually only be decided at the shooting range – and so it was in the end.\u00a0It was an exciting race, which was completely open until the last starter (98 women were at the start). In the end Marketa Davidova could not be beaten, who laid the foundation for her victory and the World Championship title with a flawless shooting. She was the only one to hit all 20 targets and was unbeatable with a top performance on the track. She deservedly won the gold medal in the individual event of the World Championships.\u00a0Hanna Oeberg from Sweden can celebrate the silver medal and the vice world championship.\u00a0Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold makes sure that the Norwegians can cheer again and takes bronze.\u00a0The women of the DSV are still waiting for the first medal of the World Championships, they went empty-handed also on the fifth day of competition. The best German, Franziska Preuss, did not get beyond seventh place.\u00a0Defending champion Dorothea Wierer finished only ninth, 2:20.2 minutes behind.\u00a0Marte Olsbu R\u00f8iseland and Tiril Eckhoff, both considered as co-favorites before the race, shot themselves out of the medal ranks with three and four penalty minutes respectively.<\/p>\n

However, anyone who was busy this morning training, ski testing or on the track at the Triglav Sport Center could not believe their eyes at first – or had to look twice.\u00a0Yes, it was him. Martin Fourcade, 13-time biathlon world champion and one of the most successful biathletes of all time, inspected the new world championship course and visibly enjoyed testing it directly in the beautiful sunny weather. The reason for his visit was a PR appointment of his ski manufacturer, as well as recordings for the French TV station TV L`Equipe. His plan so far is to spend two days here at Pokljuka, and thus possibly also to be able to see his successor in the 20 km individual race.<\/p>\n

Der Titel im 15 km Einzelrennen der Damen auf der Pokljuka konnte eigentlich nur am Schie\u00dfstand entschieden werden – und so war es letztendlich auch.\u00a0Es war ein spannendes Rennen, welches bis zur letzten Starterin (98 Damen waren am Start) v\u00f6llig offen war. Am Ende nicht zu schlagen war Marketa Davidova, die mit einem fehlerfreien Schie\u00dfen den Grundstein f\u00fcr ihren Sieg und dem Weltmeistertitel legte. In dieser Saison noch nicht erw\u00e4hnenswert in Erscheinung getreten traf sie als einzige alle 20 Scheiben, war mit einer Topleistung auf der Strecke nicht zu schlagen, und darf somit verdient die Goldmedaille im Einzel der WM feiern.\u00a0\u00dcber Silber und der Vizeweltmeisterschaft darf Hanna Oeberg aus Schweden jubeln.\u00a0Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold sorgt daf\u00fcr, dass die Norwegerinnen erneut jubeln k\u00f6nnen und nimmt Bronze mit.\u00a0Die Frauen des DSV warten weiterhin auf das erste Edelmetall der WM, sie\u00a0gingen auch am f\u00fcnften Wettkampftag leer aus. Die beste Deutsche, Franziska Preuss kam \u00fcber Platz sieben nicht hinaus.\u00a0Titelverteidigerin Dorothea Wierer belegte mit einem R\u00fcckstand von 2.20,2 Minuten R\u00fcckstand lediglich Platz neun.\u00a0Marte Olsbu\u00a0R\u00f8iseland und Tiril Eckhoff, \u00a0beide als Mitfavoriten vor dem Rennen gehandelt, schossen sich mit drei bzw. vier Strafminuten aus den Medaillenr\u00e4ngen.<\/p>\n

Wer allerdings heute morgen beim Training, Skitest oder auf der Loipe \u00a0im Triglav Sport Center zu tun hatte traute seinen Augen zun\u00e4chst nicht – oder musste zweimal hinsehen.\u00a0Ja, er war es. Martin Fourcade, 13-facher Biathlon Weltmeister und einer der erfolgreichsten Biathleten aller Zeiten inspizierte die neue WM Strecke und hatte sichtlich Spa\u00df bei traumhaft strahlendem Wetter diese direkt zu testen. Grund seines Besuches war ein PR- Termin seines Ski-Herstellers, sowie Aufnahmen f\u00fcr den franz\u00f6sischen TV-Sender TV L`Equipe. Sein Plan ist es bisher, zwei Tage hier auf der Pokljuka zu sein, und somit auch eventuell seinen Nachfolger beim 20 km Einzelrennen sehen zu k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n
