Johannes Thingnes Boe strikes again<\/h4>\n

With the same finish as at last year’s World Championships in Antholz, the last competition, the men’s 15 km mass start race, ended with Johannes Thingnes Boe’s victory. The current World Champion in this discipline won ahead of runner-up Quentin Fillon Maillet.\u00a0With only one shooting mistake and a top performance in the track Johannes Thingnes Boe was unstoppable and wins his first mass start this winter. For him it was his 14 mass start victory and 52nd World Cup victory in total.\u00a0Quentin Fillon Maillet also showed today that he is again a force to be reckoned with and is on the way back to his old strength.\u00a0For Jakov Fak the third place was his first podium this season and also confirms his constant performances so far.\u00a0Vetle Christiansen proved his strength with his fourth place and sent the best German Arnd Peiffer to fifth place. The two athletes delivered a thrilling final sprint which ended in favor of the Norwegian thanks to a photo finish.\u00a0Johannes Dale in ninth place again managed a place among the best ten biathletes. Tarjei Boe finished in 12th place, Sturla Holm Laegreid in 14th, Fabien Claude in 18th and Alexander Loginov in 19th completed the places among the top 20.<\/p>\n

I was able to put some pressure on after the third shooting and to get a comfortable lead to drive safely to the shooting range for the last shooting. I know that Quentin is a steady shooter. But after he also had to go into the penalty loop, I knew that I can only beat myself today.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Exactly the same finish as at the World Championships last year. I could give Johannes a good fight today, but my two penalty laps were crucial. My form curve shows a steep upward trend and I am very satisfied with the second place. I will now regenerate for two days and then start with my preparation for the World Championships.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I have been in good shape all season, but the last piece has always been missing. Today I was able to concentrate very well in the shooting and I was also very good on the track.\u00a0This third place is the best advertisement for the World Championships here in Slovenia and gives me further self-confidence.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Johannes Thingnes Boe schl\u00e4gt erneut zu<\/h4>\n

Mit dem gleichen Zieleinlauf wie bei der WM im vergangenen Jahr in Antholz endete der letzte Wettbewerb, das 15 km Massenstart Rennen der Herren, mit dem Sieg von Johannes Thingnes Boe. Der amtierende Weltmeister in dieser Disziplin siegte vor dem Vize-Weltmeister Quentin Fillon Maillet.\u00a0Mit nur einem Schie\u00dffehler und einer Top Leistung in der Loipe war Johannes Thingnes Boe nicht aufzuhalten und gewinnt seinen ersten Massenstart in diesem Winter. F\u00fcr ihn war es sein 14 Massenstart-Sieg und der 52. Weltcupsieg insgesamt.\u00a0Quentin Fillon Maillet zeigte auch in diesem Rennen, das mit ihm wieder zum rechnen ist und ist nach einem kleinen Formtief wieder auf dem Weg zu alter St\u00e4rke.\u00a0F\u00fcr Jakov Fak war der dritte Platz sein erster Podestplatz in dieser Saison und best\u00e4tigt ebenfalls seine konstanten Leistungen bislang.\u00a0Vetle Christiansen bewies mit seinem vierten Platz seine St\u00e4rke und verwies den besten Deutschen Arnd Peiffer auf den f\u00fcnften Rang. Die zwei Athleten lieferten sich einen packenden Schlusssprint, der dank Fotofinish f\u00fcr den Norweger ausging.\u00a0Johannes Dale auf Platz neun gelang erneut ein Platz unter den besten zehn Biathleten. Tarjei Boe kam auf Rang 12 ins Ziel, Sturla Holm Laegreid als 14., Fabien Claude auf 18. und Alexander Loginov als 19. vervollst\u00e4ndigten die Pl\u00e4tzen unter den Top 20.<\/p>\n

Ich konnte nach dem dritten Schie\u00dfen etwas Druck machen und mir einen komfortablen Vorsprung heraus fahren, um sicher f\u00fcr das\u00a0letzte Schie\u00dfen an den Schie\u00dfstand zu fahren. Ich wei\u00df, dass Quentin ein sicherer Sch\u00fctze ist. Nachdem er aber ebenfalls in die Strafrunde musste, wusste ich, dass ich mich hier nur noch selbst schlagen kann.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Exakt der gleiche Zieleinlauf wie bei der WM letztes Jahr. Ich konnte Johannes heute einen guten Kampf bieten, doch entscheidend waren meine beiden Strafrunden. Meine Formkurve zeigt steil nach oben, und ich bin mit den zweiten Platz hochzufrieden. Ich werden jetzt zwei Tage regenerieren und dann mit meinen Vorbereitung auf die WM starten.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ich war schon die ganze Saison in guter Verfassung, doch hat immer das letzte St\u00fcck gefehlt. Ich konnte mich heute beim Schie\u00dfen sehr konzentrieren, und war auch l\u00e4uferisch sehr gut dabei.\u00a0Dieser dritte Platz ist die beste Werbung f\u00fcr die WM bei uns in Slowenien und gibt mir weiter Selbstvertrauen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
