Émilien Jacquelin is a French biathlete, amateur photographer and entertainer. He likes to show his emotions in the races and fights with full commitment for a top ranking. Last season, he was already pretty far ahead of the world leaders with fifth place, but for this season he has set his sights on building on that and getting even further ahead. In the interview, he reveals something of his recipe for making it to the top.
Welcome to the KinetiXx Team, how did you decide to ski with KinetiXx gloves?
I have chosen KinetiXx gloves to avoid getting cold hands in winter.
How did you get into biathlon?
I have three older brothers who all did biathlon before me. I wanted to do the same as them and I enjoy it. That's why I decided to continue.
What is your top tip for all young athletes to make it to the national team?
Have fun. Have even more fun. Believe in yourselves. Work out hard. Be passionate. Be who you are. Do what you want to do. If you feel you want to do it, do it. I think that is the key.
What are your goal for the next season?
I would like to build on my performance in the Pursuit and get closer to Over All than I was. It will be a tough challenge. But I will try it. First of all, I want to fight for a win every race.
