JOHANNES THINGNES BOE IN HIS OWN LEAGUE!

The second biathlon weekend in the Austrian Pillerseetal in Hochfilzen passes successfully for the KinetiXx - athletes.

Already on Thursday, the women started with their 7.5km sprint race. After a faultless shooting and a good running performance, the German Denise Herrmann - Wick could take the lead and won ahead of the Czech Davidova. Third place went to the French Julia Simon with only one miss and 2 seconds behind.

The men competed in their second sprint of the season the following day. There the Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Boe showed an incredible running performance and excellent shooting. He won with a big lead of 43 seconds ahead of his French opponent Emilien Jacquilin who missed one target. He was closely followed by Sturla Holm Laegreid.

On Saturday there were two races on the program. The women's pursuit was scheduled for the morning. After an exciting battle, Julia Simon from France took the lead again with only one miss and won already her second pursuit of the season. With a big jump, from rank 13 to rank 2, Ingrid Tandrevold from Norway showed a good performance. Davidova from Czech Republic became third woman here.

In the afternoon the men started their relay race. From the beginning, the men from Norway were dominant. At the latest after the third runner, Johannes Boe, the fronts were settled. He sent their final runner, Vetle Christiansen, with a big lead into the final laps. Christiansen made it exciting once again and had to go into the penalty loop after the final standing shooting. Nevertheless they won the race with a lead of 20 seconds. Sweden was able to secure the second place with 8 reloads ahead of the German team.

The ladies were allowed to compete in the relay on Sunday. Here it was exciting until the end. The French team, around KinetiXx - Atheltin Julia Simon & Jeanmonnot Lou could win here with a total of just 4 reloads. Julia Simon showed again a brilliant performance in the shooting, here she was able to break away after an accurate and fast insertion in the standing position. Sweden was second, as in the men's race. Italy was surprisingly third.

The last race in snowy Hochfilzen was the men's 12.5km pursuit. Boe managed his big lead until the end. With a total of just two misses and as usual a fast run performance he won, almost as expected. His teammate Lagereid was able to overtake Frenchman Jacquelin and move into second place. Jacquelin was third. The podium is again in the same line-up, only repositioned.

Already next Thursday the next biathlon races will continue in Annecy, France.

In Titisee Neustadt, Germany the World Cup of ski jumpers was held. Here, Poland's Dawid Kubacki managed to secure second place and first place.
